This book is designed for children wishing to be taught approximately one year ahead of the national curriculum or preparing for common entrance/11 Plus grammar schools.
The emphasis in this term is on confidence and knowledge of maths subjects. It is expected that children know all their times tables up to 12 and can add and subtract with borrowing.
Subjects covered are: place value, angles, ratio and proportion, measure transport time tables, data handling, fractions, area and perimeter, nets,
symmetry and reflection. All have worded problems.
There is also an assessment which shows where a child is in relation to the
national curriculum and 11 Plus preparation.
